always get excited about the possibilities after a coaching change. Really, we have nowhere to go but up. Looks like White is coming into this with his eyes wide open but with quiet confidence. Can't wait to see who he hires as assistants and support staff. I have always thought that our program, in the right hands, can be a monster. We have a ton of advantages, not the least of which are a built-in recruiting base and a bunch of money, should we decide to allocate to the basketball program. Looks to me like we have an AD willing to do what is necessary to build a winner and a coach capable of doing it. Of course, it remains to be seen if he can be successful, but we have seen how the fan support is there when you give them something to watch.

I'm sure they do. I wanted White 8 years ago. I was in the Steg when his La Tech team came in and destroyed Fox's team. It was my understanding that he would have jumped at our job then, but McGarity didn't can Fox when he should have. Of course, many of the names in the administration have changed since then, but I bet someone was keeping an eye on him.

Even this year, I bet our talks with White's people go back a number of weeks - well before Crean was fired....
