"just like football"!! What FT shooting in the second half! A little sloppy down the stretch. Not used to playing with a lead. I've never seen 2 jump balls at the end like that. We are having trouble getting the ball up the floor. Nothing is easy.... 1st conference win!!!

The TV broadcast does a poor job of conveying this, but that was a nice atmosphere last night. The fans deserve a lot of credit. Given the state of the program, and given a 6:30 PM, weeknight tip, 6000+ were in the building and making noise (and the student section was a couple hundred from full).
I can state with confidence that few other SEC fan bases would match that kind of attendance under similar circumstances. The narrative that Georgia fans don't care about basketball is a false one.

I'm in agreement. Another false narrative: "Musselman and Oats coach circles around Crean. They're so much better. Look what they've accomplished in such a short time. It's obvious that Georgia made a terrible hire. If it can happen that quickly at Alabama and Arkansas, why not here?"
