Yeah, this year at Auburn will likely be tough. They could soon be ranked #1. It just kills me to see a Kessler over there, not to mention KD and Smith (the likely #1 pick in the next draft).

On a similar subject, my memory is that Anthony Edwards aside, Crean's first recruiting class was stellar and subsequent recruiting, to be nice, was not so good.
I think he has proven that he cannot recruit (first class a fluke) and cannot coach.

I think your statement about recruiting is accurate. I think it really hurt him when Abdur-Rahim left to coach at Kennesaw. He had a big hand in recruiting that class. I don't think Dollar lived up to his reputation as a recruiter while on staff.

The thing that is killing me is we are playing folks even or better until half. Then the bottom falls out.

This thing is "irretrievably broken." But we can't stay married for the kids.

Yeah, that's usually a sign of lack of depth. The 2 injuries killed our front court depth since we have 4-5 front court players on the bench from whom we get nothing.

That's a very good question. I still can't believe we offered Ned a scholarship. McMillan meets the eye test but can't play. Baker and Taylor have shown nothing basically.

Taylor is the perplexing one to me. He had offers from GaTech, LSU, Houston, St Johns, Tx Tech & TCU. The other three were "maybes" and roster fillers all along.

None of these guys have shown anything really. McMillan has the look of a player but just doesn't. He's been given multiple chances. I think Baker has gotten more PT than Taylor this year. It seems Taylor is just a bust. Baker is sooo skinny and has thin shoulders - not what I would look for in a post. He hasn't got much physical room to develop.
