may have seen their chances of having a decent season go down the drain with Ingram's injury. First off, Jacksonville ran some good offensive sets but simply did not have the skill to make shots. They outrebounded us by 8, so they worked hard on the boards; they had size in the post, but no real skill anywhere. Their shooting was not good.... Dowdle was going on and on in the postgame about our defense, but J'ville was getting good shots - they just couldn't make them. We forced a few TOs out on the floor, but their guards weren't very skilled at ballhandling. Their coach was a former assistant at UF and is in his first year as a HC. If he can recruit, he will probably do well.

Ingram went down with what looked like a serious knee injury around 7-8 minutes into the 2nd half; he had scored 12 pts in the 1st half and made some smart plays. We had been up 8 at half and won by 11, but a major injury to Ingram will seriously cripple our efforts.

Crean's postgame interview was one of the strangest I have ever heard. He was highly emotional - crying and could hardly catch his breath to speak - talking about "God has a plan" and "God's will be done", etc. You would have thought someone had died, not just gotten injured. IMHO it was waaaay over the top. I did not find it professional at all.

Any official news on Ingram?

Not that I have seen. A friend of mine thinks it's a ligament tear, which would mean he's done for the season.

That's bad. Well, if you hear anything certain, please share here.

Athens Banner-Herald article from Wednesday said he was undergoing an MRI that day but that early indications are not good. Ingram had suffered a previous ACL injury in the 2018-19 season. We will probably get confirmation in a day or 2.

It's been confirmed. Crean posted on Twitter this morning:

Unfortunately, Jailyn Ingram will have to have surgery to repair his ACL in his right knee. It's heartbreaking because Jailyn has been emerging in so many areas and has been a model of consistency day in and day out. He's an incredible young Man. We will help him in every way.

Well that really blows. Wish him a speedy recovery. Time for someone to step up.

They've mentioned applying for a medical waiver, he's just under the 30% of season #'s. We'll see, definitely hate to finish like this. He may come back.

Ingram seems to have been a real leader in the locker room - respected by all his teammates. It's bad for him, but sadly these things happen. What is the saying - rain falls on the just and the unjust?
