I'm hearing the coaching staff likes the athleticism on the team and the shooting ability. JAR and Cook are impressing from what I heard. Hope we get an open practice in the near future....

I talked to Coach Crean briefly Monday evening. I told him I hoped we had better shooters this year. He said we definitely do.

Yeah, I expect us to shoot better. I just don't know about other aspects of the game.

All of that crew who transferred out didn't play defense, rebound, or score points consistently. We have to be improved in those areas this year. You can't get worse that last year.

I agree about last year. They really played with no heart. Everyone was pulling in different directions with different agendas. But can it not get worse? Maybe not, but we need to see evidence. Can't wait for 11/5. This team needs to play with a lot more grit and determination than a year ago.

Can't get worse than last year? W's & L's are what matters and we went 7-11 last season. Those seven wins equaled Crean's previous 2 years total of SEC wins (2 + 5). Just look at our stats from last year, our top five scorers all transferred.

Camara to Dayton
Wheeler to Kentucky
Johnson to Auburn
Fagan to Ole Miss
Kier to Arizona

And, we replaced them with grossly inferior talent.
If that group returned we'd be picked around the middle of the pack in the SEC. Instead we are the unanimous choice to finish dead last by a country mile. 4-14 is my prediction. Crean is currently 14-40…. he'll leave here with an SEC record of 18-54, give or take a W or L. Crean has been an epic failure.

Seven schools are predicted Top 50:
Tennessee, Alabama, Kentucky, Auburn, Florida, Arkansas and LSU

Three more Top 100:
Miss St, Mississippi and Vanderbilt

The "bad" are:
A&M (#116), SC (#135), Mizzou (151)

Then there is Georgia at #217

There has never been a terrible coach that's made it to a final four and multiple sweet sixteens. Never!

You are correct!! I don't believe we will finish last in the SEC!! There was an average transfer of 7 per team in the SEC last year so no one knows what each team will have starting off the season!! From what I have heard, the only player we lost that we really wanted to stay was Kamara!! The rest, were easily replaced!! Sid Vicious is as NEGATIVE towards Crean as I was about Dennis Felton!! I was RIGHT and I hope SV is WRONG!!There are more things besides ON court play that is involved in transfers or PT!! TEAM CANCERS CAN OCCUR!! Go Dawgs!!

Welp Driller and Dawg44 it appears I was overly optimistic about this years squad when I predicted 4-14. Dawg saying our defense couldn't get worse? We are #317 in Defensive Efficiency this year, even worse than the #197, #247 & #226 in Crean's first three years. And no Driller, all the players that left weren't easily replaced.
