You can finally see what Crean was wanting out of this team.
Good movement on offense with multiple shooters that can spot up and make you pay.
The turnovers are just silly sometimes and I wish we had a deeper bench so Crean could sit guys for a spell when they get ridiculously sloppy. Camera and KD were especially careless for stretches last night.
Encouraged that we pulled out a win when Kier couldn't hit open 3's, KD had an off night, and the officiating was atrocious.
I expect 1-2 wins to finish the season, but we actually have a shot at an at-large if we can steal a win or two from the UF, LSU, Bama, Mizzou stretch and beat A&M and USC.
It feels like we have a core to build around with what returns next year, and Crean has done a pretty good job building this roster with grad transfers. He will unfortunately need to do it again next year, but I'm just trying to enjoy our first conference win streak in what feels like a decade.

We've had some pretty good teams the last decade. We won 5 straight in 12/13, 14/15 & 15/16 as well as 4 straight in 13/14 when we finished 12-6. We won 33 conference games over a 3 year stretch; more than any team other than Kentucky.
Winning is better than losing anytime but these 3 in a row are against teams that are currently 10-20. Yesterday we squeezed by a team that's 4-40 over the past 3 seasons.

Fox had some decent success in conference, that wasn't mean as a knock on him; although I still feel like the conference was considerably weaker in his day.
It feels like it's been forever since fielding a competitive team even though it hasn't been all that long as you pointed out.
I'm certainly not trying to make three wins in a row more than it is, especially if we lay an egg against A&M, but the record and on court product has improved year over year with Crean, so that's at least something.

The SEC was pretty bad last year and this year is worse. I can't remember a weaker top half of the league. Alabama, Missouri, UT, LSU, FLA, ARK is a very weak bunch to be leading the conference. OleMs, MSt, AU, & KY aren't far behind those, with UGA, SC, A&M and maybe even Vandy capable of beating any of those when hot. Mediocre parity is where this league is currently.
