I'd expect no worse than 6-1 non conference and 7-0 is not being unreasonable. Don't understand how we can bring in Montana and Cincinnati and not play Tech, though.

Conference schedule - who the hell knows. We may be projected worst in the east.

Crean has GOT to show improvement and progress on the court and in the win column. Would 7-9 be that? Certainly 9-9 would be.

What is acceptable progress for this season W-L?

Cincinnati is the only decent team on the OOC Schedule; but like the other 6 games they are all at The Steg. 6-1 looks like a cakewalk and 7-0 fairly likely. 5-2 would be bad, 4-3 or worse, really bad. Then we'll win 4-6 in the league. 11-14 overall is my pick. Crean needs to go .500 in conference for me to garner any optimism in him going forward. 3rd year, get us to .500, I don't think that's a high bar to set.

GTech plays UAB in Birmingham December 23rd... what up wit dat? I plan on being there if fans are allowed. I saw us beat UAB in a thriller there 2 years ago.

Sid -4-6 wins in conference play is decidedly NOT improvement in my book. That to me is failure. My question is in this time of adjusted schedule in COVID, what is the threshold W-L to make the dance? Is is 15W? 16? 17?

If the hoop hounds go 6-1 non-conf, do we need to go 9-9 in conf minimum?

Man, who knows. This Covid blowing up.... I just hope we play the games and have a dance come March. Realistically I don't see how this team is better than last years. Then all the GT's are gone. It's bleak looking, but we shall see.

The departed 5:
3pt % = 0.310.
Defense = Harris good, other 4 not so much
So I think we see the defense improve, and the 3 point shooting should improve by 6-8%. That will make this years team better in my opinion.

Hopefully someone (or more) coming in will surprise us, and they along with Wheeler and Camara will help us gel into respectability. An article on ESPN has a Newcomer Impact Rankings List (Top 80). The list includes freshman and transfers. There are 19 players listed from the SEC and none from UGA.

Losing Edwards, Hammonds, Harris, Crump and Gresham and having no one coming in that's in the Top 80 to replace them makes me skeptical.

It's gonna be a very odd season, it'll take a miracle for everyone to successfully play their scheduled games. Guess y'all have heard bout MM being played entirely at one location, likely Indy. We're gonna be playing a losing battle of whack-a-mole with this virus.
