Early in the game we were hustling and getting to loose balls, rebounding, guarding the ball strong, etc. All that evaporated somewhere around the 12 minute mark, and Aub waltzed to a 29-10 run the rest of the half. We looked unsure, tentative and soft.

Gotta come back out with that early intensity or this is going to get ugly.

Well, we didn't and it did, and pretty quickly. What an embarrassment.

It was ugly but AU had not been a great shooting team all year from 3 land but against us, found their shot. Edwards again led team in scoring but that is really due to him taking so many shots, his percentages are just not good, and he did horrible at the FT too. But again it is his 3 point shooting that is killing me, he was 2-9 against AU, 3-9 against Kentucky, Memphis only took 5 and hit 2. SMU he was 2 of 8, ASU he was 0-5. If he hasn't figured out yet that maybe shooting the 3 for now is NOT his game, not sure when he will-and that is where Crean needs to step in and say, we need you driving more, and pulling up for shorter jumpers.

This team needs an SEC win on Wed night, get that and then head to Miss State with some momentum-they are not a great team, so we could steal a road win there, because next after that is at Kentucky-but if we could come out of the first 5 SEC games at 2-3, I will take it.
