Since coaches often leave programs at a whim for other more desirable jobs (e.g., FSU HC Jimbo Fisher to Texas A&M, Ole Miss HC Tommy Tuberville to Auburn, Miami [NFL] HC Nick Saban to Alabama), I find it highly critical of them to say that their student-athletes (who are on 1-year renewable scholarships at the discretion of programs) shouldn't be able to transfer or to be able to control where they transfer to. Fwiw, I also think it sucks that athletes (both scholarship and walk-ons) that transfer must sit out a year after transferring.
