LOL!
We wouldn't be top 5 - we'd easily be #1.
Oklahoma led the Big12 in every major offensive category: total offense, scoring offense, rushing offense, and pass efficiency offense, and after acclimating for a half, our defense completely stonewalled them from there. Had we played every other (lessor) team in the Big12, it would have been a cakewalk after that.

Does this ******bag not realize that in one half and 2 overtimes of football his all world offense led by King of the ******bags scored a whopping 10 points on this non top 5 defense? Riley is just like all of these offensive minded head coaches, sometimes they just need to remember Keep It Simple Stupid. They always want to show people how smart they are and run gimmicky trick plays in crunch time to be cute (i.e. the end around in overtime to the 5th string flanker). I was always taught that after you lose you don't talk smack against the team that just beat you.

His comments don't bother me at all. And they likely are right.

A conference with a bunch of high scoring offenses would tend to make any defense look worse statistically, fine, agree with that. The UGA offense would probably look a lot different as a result.

Part of a good defense is a ground control offense, as most of us noted. You get some stops and then grind out a clock soaking 80 yarder and it tends to depress scores.

Of course, in the Rose Bowl UGA was striking very fast in the second half.

Big 12 teams are 11-15 against SEC teams in the last five years (5-8 in bowls) and have an all-time losing record against SEC competition.

He must have forgotten he lost this game with possibly the best offensive player he will ever have.

... whatever makes him happy.
