Dallas Cowboys after James Coley?
ATHENS - The Dallas Cowboys could be pursuing UGA offensive coordinator James Coley.
That’s according to Ian Rapoport, the National Insider for the NFL Network, who says that Coley “will receive some consideration” for the Cowboys’ offensive coordinator opening. Dallas fired former offensive coordinator Scott Linehan on Friday.
Rapoport says that Doug Nussmeier, who is currently on staff for the Cowboys as the tight ends coach, is another coach to watch regarding the opening. Nussmeier has had stops at Washington, Alabama, Michigan and Florida before moving on to the Cowboys in 2018.
According to Rapoport, the Cowboys “may look to the college game to better utilize Dak Prescott’s talents.”
Coley was named UGA’s offensive coordinator last Friday.
