What We Are Hearing: What's Next at UGA

ATHENS - It is difficult to piece together the movements that led to Jim Chaney leaving Georgia for Tennessee. 

Reports on Tuesday night were that Chaney had agreed to leave Athens for Knoxville for a three-year, $4.5 million contract. That’s more money and at least a little more time in the SEC than he had in Athens. 

On Monday, Georgia officials confirmed that Chaney still had two years left on his contract with UGA, but pointed out that a buyout was still in play if it came to that.
