Vegas Expects Dawgs in Playoffs in 2019

ATHENS - Odds for the 2019 season are starting to trickle out, and Georgia is expected to challenge for the national title this fall. 

The Bulldogs are listed at 6/1 odds to win the national title. Clemson (2/1) and Alabama (5/2) are listed in front of UGA to win it all. In terms of percentages to win it all:

Clemson - 33.33%
Alabama - 28.57%
Georgia - 14.29%
Ohio State - 7.69%

Georgia’s odds are up slightly from last season (8/1 to 6/1, or up from 11.11% to 14.29%). Alabama checks in at the same exact odds while Clemson’s odds have doubled from 6/1 to 2/1, or from 14.29% to 33.33%. Ohio State’s odds, with a new head coach and a new quarterback, have fallen from 8/1 to 12/1 or 11.11% to 7.69%

Georgia’s schedule is loaded up with teams who have odds to win the CFP national title listed as well: 

Florida - 25/1 or 3.85%
Notre Dame - 25/1 or 3.85%
Auburn - 50/1 or 1.96%
Texas A&M - 80/1 or 1.23%
Kentucky - 250/1 or 0.40%

Georgia opens the season on the road at Vanderbilt in Nashville on August 31.
