Jake Fromm: "I'm Ready to Eat"

January 3, 2019

ATHENS - Jake Fromm is ready to eat.

Georgia’s junior QB thanked outgoing seniors Jonathon Ledbetter, Deandre Baker, Lamont Gaillard, D’Andre Walker and more on social media Thursday.

“Thankful for an incredible year with an amazing group of guys,” Fromm posted. “The way we handled the ups and downs will never be forgotten. I’m blessed to be here at this University and will do everything in my power to compete at the highest level. Thankful for these seniors who put so much into this program. The table is set for us, all we have to do is eat!”

Fromm came in as the presumed backup to 5-star QB Jacob Eason in 2017, but took over the starting role during the road win at Notre Dame. Fromm and the program never looked back. Powered by the Warner Robins native and the seniors of 2018, Georgia has accomplished quite a bit: Appearances in the Sugar Bowl, the National Championship Game and two SEC Championship Games; An SEC crown, two SEC East titles and a Rose Bowl Game win.

If UGA doesn't suffer any early departures to the NFL it will return 16 scholarship seniors for the 2019 season.
