ATHENS - Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs will kick off against Brent Venables and the Oklahoma Sooners at 3:30 PM in two weeks.

The game will be broadcasted on either ESPN or ABC.

This will mark the Sooners first trip to Athens and only the second meeting between the teams in history.  Georgia collected a 54-48 double overtime win over Oklahoma in the College Football Playoff Semifinal during the 2017 season.

The Bulldogs are currently 2-0 with a dominant 60-point win over Tennessee State and a 50-point blowout win over Western Kentucky.

The Sooners, one of the highest-ranked teams in the SEC heading into the season, shut out UTEP 51-0 in week one before losing a tough game up in Ann Arbor last week to the Michigan Wolverines.

The Sooners had a terrible game offensively, earning less than 300 yards of total offense while going just 3/13 on third down. Quarterback John Mateer struggled mightily, going 17/33 for 189 yards with one touchdown and one INT. 

The Bulldogs will hit the road this weekend to take on the Arkansas Razorbacks while the Sooners will host New Mexico.
