ATHENS - After a strong 2025 season for the Georgia Bulldog offensive line, the Dawgs are hoping to dominate in the trenches once again this upcoming season.
New Bulldog offensive line coach Phil Roscher will be replacing the left side of the offensive line after left tackle Monroe Freeling and left guard Micah Morris were drafted into the NFL this spring.

Still, the Bulldogs return three starters from last season including center Drew Bobo, guard Dontrell Glover, and tackle Juan Gaston Jr. They also have Earnest Greene back who has started 32 games since the start of the 2023 season.
It’s safe to say expectations are high. And rightfully so.
SEC Analyst and insider Cole Cubelic, a former Auburn Tiger offensive lineman, had a lot to say about the Bulldog offensive line last week at SEC Media Days.

It’s rare to see a team lose both their starting left tackle and left guard and still have this type of hype. But in Athens, that’s business as usual.
Replacing Freeling at left tackle won’t be easy. He played at an elite level and was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in the first round for a reason. Thankfully, the Dawgs have Earnest Greene who can make his way back to left tackle. The big 6-foot-4 320-pounder made 14 starts there in 2023 while starting nine games in each of the last two seasons on the line.
Third-year lineman Jahzare Jackson and true freshman Ekene Ogboko are two more left tackle options if Greene does not win the job outright in fall camp.
At left guard, Dontrell Glover is an option after shining at right guard in 2025. As a freshman last season, Glover made 12 starts and could move over to the left side if given an opportunity there in fall camp. If not, look for Glover to continue holding down the right guard position. Other left guard options include third-year guard Daniel Calhoun, freshman Zykie Helton, third-year guard Michael Uini, among others.
At center the Bulldogs return starter Drew Bobo who is back for a fifth season. Bobo was one of the leagues’ best centers last year who should be even better in his final season this fall. He’s one of the top players on the roster and will play a pivotal role in Georgia’s offense this season.
At right guard the Bulldogs return starter Dontrell Glover. If Glover does get a look at the left side, keep an eye on true freshman Zykie Helton and the other guards on the roster hoping to earn a starting position during fall camp.
The Bulldogs also return right tackle Juan Gaston Jr. for the upcoming season. The giant 6-foot-7 360-pounder from Atlanta started four games last season and shined at the right tackle when given his chance. Just a freshman last fall, Gaston showed impressive power, athleticism, and the potential to be one of the best tackles in the SEC this upcoming season.
Overall, it’s easy to see why so many are high on Georgia’s line. They bring back several veterans, multiple starters, and an impressive amount of talent across the board.
Georgia’s offensive line took a big step forward last season. Even as they try to replace to starters on the left side, don’t be surprised if the Dawgs continue to dominate in the trenches this upcoming season.
