ATHENS - When you turn on the tape, something immediately stands out about Georgia Bulldog tight end commit Asa Wall.
He plays like a former Bulldog legend. One of the all-time greats. You may know who I’m talking about already.
Listen, there will never be another Brock Bowers. The two-time Butkus Award winner and two-time national champion is the most decorated tight end in college football history. He’s also one of the most talented and very special players to ever wear the Red and Black.
But when you watch Asa Wall, you see a Bowers-level skill-set. The UGA legacy and son of former Bulldog fullback JT Wall does just about everything for his John Milledge (GA) team. The Milledgville native is one of the more versatile players you’ll find across Georgia in the 2028 class.
As a sophomore last season, the big, athletic 6-foot-3 225-pounder hauled in 47 passes for 944 yards and 10 touchdowns. He also ran 70 times for 656 yards and 15 more touchdowns on the ground.
DON’T FORGET YOUR FANDUEL BETS!!
According to FanDuel, the New England Patriots have +750 odds of winning the AFC Championship next season.
Not only is he physical in the run game, but he’s a pass-catching machine who can get vertical down the field while also helping in the screen game. He’s so hard to tackle and bring to the ground after the catch, giving him the ability to score anytime he has the ball.
Just like Bowers.
While Wall is a major weapon on offense, he’s also a physical defender at linebacker. The do-it-all athlete made 96 tackles last season with 12 TFLs and five sacks.
Again, there’s a real possibility no tight end ever accomplishes what Brock Bowers did during his time at Georgia. He’s an all-timer. However, Wall has the potential to bring a similar style of play. He’s big, physical, plays the game the right way, and is a natural pass-catcher on offense.
After an incredibly productive sophomore season, Wall should be one of the South’s top tight end prospects in the 2028 class down the road.
He’s got the hands, size, versatility, and a matchup nightmare in the passing game. He can make an impact in so many different ways and he’s bound for an even bigger junior season in 2026.
Get excited, Georgia fans. You may have to wait two more years, but Wall is should to be a fan favorite very early in his Georgia career.
