ATHENS - After a busy month of January, several major Georgia Bulldog targets are starting to make their official visit plans for the summer.

One in-state target who announced big news recently was four-star running back Andrew Beard II‍. The local running back out of Prince Avenue Christian included the Bulldogs in top “Top Four” along with Tennessee, Clemson and Florida.

Beard also announced his official visit plans.

The versatile 5-foot-9 190 pounder will take his first official visit to Clemson the weekend of May 29. He’ll then take an official visit to Florida the weekend of June 4th before heading to Athens for his official visit the weekend of June 12th. Beard will take his final official visit to Tennessee the weekend of June 19th.

The four-star rushed for just under 1,300 yards and 13 touchdowns last season for the Wolverines. He also caught 31 passes for 450 yards and five more touchdowns in the passing game. He’s ranked as the No. 6 RB and the No.87 overall prospect in the country.

The Bulldogs have two current running back commitments in five-star Kemon Spell‍ and three-star Jakeyveon Parker‍.

Another in-state prospect who has scheduled his Georgia official visit in Mt. Vernon (GA) pass-catcher Taurean Rawlins. Coached by former Bulldog wide receiver Terrence Edwards, Rawlins is fresh off a big junior season where he caught 56 passes for 1,134 yards and 13 touchdowns. The fast-rising wideout will be in Athens for his official visit the weekend of May 29th.

“My reaction when I got the offer was just pure excitement”, Rawlins told Dawg Post this winter. “It felt unreal. Me and Coach Coley had a great in person conversation leading up to the offer. I know that UGA football is a very promising and strong program and has an amazing community. It is also a very supportive and passionate fanbase.”

Another May official visitor to know about is major wide receiver target Amare Patterson‍. The South Carolina native will be in Athens the weekend of May 15th

Patterson was recently in Athens for a big Jr. Day visit and recapped that visit with Dawg Post.

“UGA is special because of the culture they’ve built”, Patterson added. “The standard is the standard there. Winning, development and brotherhood. Being around the facilities, the players, and the staff, you can feel why they’re consistently at the top. It’s a place that prepares guys for the next level while still feeling like home.”

As a junior last season, Patterson caught 51 passes for 912 yards and 10 touchdowns. He’s ranked as the No. 37 WR prospect and the No. 289 overall prospect in the 2027 class.
