ATHENS - Three UGA Football players help make up this year’s 31-man Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) 2025 Freshman All-America Team.
Offensive lineman Dontrell Glover, defensive lineman Elijah Griffin and defensive back Ellis Robinson IV were all included on the squad, helping to give the Southeastern Conference eight total members.
This marks the first time since 2022 that the Bulldogs have had a trio of players named to a Freshman All-America team. That year, Malaki Starks, Brett Thorson and Mykel Williams all garnered the accolades from a variety of outlets. Jordan Davis, Cade Mayes and Isaiah Wilson were the last Georgia three to be named to the FWAA team in the same year at the end of the 2018 season.
Glover, a native of Fairburn, Ga., started the last 12 games of the season at right guard for the SEC champion Bulldogs. He was part of an offensive line that started five different lineups through the last dozen games as UGA finished the season averaging 182.1 yards rushing a game.
Griffith, a native of Savannah, Ga., played in all 14 contests and racked up 22 stops, including 2.5 tackles for loss and a sack, and had a forced fumble. Thanks in part to his work up front, the Bulldogs held opponents to just 81.5 yards rushing per game.
Robinson, a native of New Haven, Conn., made 12 starts in his second year at Georgia after playing in four games in 2024. He had 20 tackles and a team-leading four interceptions. Robinson moved into a tie for the SEC lead with his fourth pick versus Georgia Tech.
