ATHENS - The transfer portal is wide open for Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs.

Prospects have been stopping through Athens over the last several days and the Dawgs will have another big one on campus on Tuesday.

That prospect is Vanderbilt wide receiver transfer Tre Richardson who confirmed with Dawg Post that he’ll be in Athens for a big visit today.

“I’m visiting Georgia on Tuesday,” Richardson told Dawg Post. “The staff has been nice to talk to on the phone so far so I’m excited to see them and the facility tomorrow.”

One of the fastest and most productive receivers in the portal right now, the 5-foot-10 175-pounder from Kansas is coming off a terrific 2025 season for the ‘Dores where he caught 46 passes for 806 yards and seven touchdowns. His biggest game came against Kentucky where he hauled in six passes for 159 yards and three touchdowns during Vanderbilt’s 45-17 win.

The Dawgs need more speed at the receiver position and that’s exactly what Richardson brings to the table.

DON’T FORGET YOUR FANDUEL BETS!!

According to FanDuel, the Ole Miss Rebels have +550 odds of winning the national championship.

A defensive lineman to keep an eye on is Tennessee transfer Caleb Herring. A promising pass-rusher who made four sacks last season for the Vols, Herring told Dawg Post that he’s interested in Georgia and is doing his best to set up a visit.

“I was supposed to be visiting tomorrow (Tuesday), but my agent hasn’t been able to get back in touch with Coach Dribe. I’m hoping to get things squared away soon.”

A cornerback to keep an eye on is Oklahoma transfer Gentry Williams. A former four-star prospect, Williams picked off three passes during the 2023 season, didn’t play in 2024, and played a small role in the Sooners defense this past fall, making just 10 tackles and breaking up two passes. He’s looking for a fresh start to end his career and told Dawg Post he took a visit to Athens on Sunday. He’s an experienced cornerback who would provide quality depth and competition in Georgia’s secondary.
