ATHENS - It was a big day for Todd Hartley’s room on Saturday as Gunner Stockton fed the Georgia Bulldog tight ends all day long during their 43-35 win over Ole Miss.
Lawson Luckie had a had trick with three receiving scores, ending the day with five catches for 43 yards in addition to those touchdowns. Senior Oscar Delp also had a strong day catching four passes for 42 yards.
When the tight ends are involved, Georgia’s offense thrives. And on Saturday, Georgia’s offense really impressed with multiple tight end prospects in the stands.
One of them is priority 2027 tight end target Brock Williams. The 6-foot-6 210-pounder out of Libertyville (IL) is ranked as the No. 2 TE prospect and the No. 32 overall prospect in the country for his class. Williams is familiar with Athens and loved what he saw from the Bulldogs over the weekend.
“The game was insane!” Williams said. “I loved seeing the tight ends get a lot of action too! Their message to me remains the same. They always tell me is to keep being me and myself and things will fall into place! I love Coach Hartley because he’s an honest and respectful man. I can connect with him and tell him anything! That’s what I love most about him and he’s one of the best in the business!”
Williams has hauled in 33 passes this season for 510 yards and seven touchdowns. He’s down to Georgia, Ohio State and Texas and sources believe that Georgia, even taking three tight ends in the current 2026 cycle, have a real shot at landing the big Illinois native.
Another tight end in town was new Georgia commitment, Asa Wall. The son of former Bulldog fullback JT Wall, Asa is one of the top young tight ends and linebackers across the state of Georgia. The do-it-all athlete stands at 6-foot-3 225-pounds out of John Milledge Academy and is someone Georgia fans should be excited about for the future.
“I loved the way they involved the tight ends this week and I loved the entire atmosphere of Athens!! Coach Hartley loves his tight ends and I enjoyed being able to talk and hang out with them almost every time I go down there. He also makes you work because none of this is easy.”
As a sophomore this fall, Wall has caught 31 passes for 551 yards and four touchdowns. He’s also made 71 tackles on defense with eight TFLs and five sacks.
