ATHENS - UGA Football WR Arian Smith was picked No. 110 Overall by the New York Jets in the 2025 NFL Draft in Green Bay.

Stetson Bennett knew as soon as Arian Smith made a move that he would be wide open. All the Florida native had to do was catch the ball. Georgia was at perhaps the critical moment of the 2022 national title season.

Kirby Smart had just snuffed out Ohio State's fake punt, but the Buckeyes held an 11-point lead with time running out in the 2022 Peach Bowl. After Ohio State punted and the game returned from timeout, Bennett hit Smith on a 76-yard touchdown.

No one was in Smith's neighborhood as he waltzed into the end zone, and the Redcoat Band exploded in high-pitched jubilation. That one play is what people will remember about Smith - it was critical to Kirby's second national title.

It is hard to imagine a game changing more than it did in that four-minute period, but it did thanks in part to Arian Smith.
