ATHENS - Georgia football coach Kirby Smart and assistant Stacy Searels got some big news this week from one of the nation’s top offensive line prospects.

2026 interior line target Pierre Dean Jr.‍ out of West Forsyth (NC) released his “Top 3” this week that included Georgia, South Carolina, and Ohio State.

The elite interior lineman stands at 6-foot-4 300-pounds and was offered by Georgia almost two full years ago and has been a major Bulldog target ever since.

He’s a dominant left tackle right now who brings an outstanding frame, physicality, and shows good technique in pass protection, latching onto defender while using good leverage to drive them backwards. He uses his length to his advantage and can completely take defenders out of the play. He’s technically sound when protecting the quarterback and a dominant run defender as well. A pancake machine, Dean Jr. brings a lot to the table and is a major target for the Bulldog staff.

They’ve recruited him hard from the beginning, and now they’ve made his “Final 3”.

Dean Jr. has official visits lined up to Georgia the weekend of June 6th and South Carolina the weekend of May 30th. He’s ranked as the No. 3 interior OL prospect and the No. 50 overall prospect in the country for the 2026 class.

According to FanDuel, the Houston Texans have +125 odds to win the AFC South during the 2025 season next fall.

In other news, four-star defensive back Peyton Dyer‍ decided to open up his recruitment and de-commit from the South Carolina Gamecocks. Dyer is a physically impressive 6-foot-1 190-pound cornerback out of Duluth (GA) who has been on Georgia’s radar for several months now. He was in Athens for a big Jr. Day visit on February 1st and will be back for an official visit the weekend of June 13th.

Dyer is coming off a strong junior season in 2024 where he made 70 tackles, one INT, 12 pass breakups, and two forced fumbles. He’s ranked as the No. 25 CB prospect and the No.283 overall prospect in the country for the 2026 class.
