Kirby Smart: Potential OL Starter Daniel Calhoun Out the Rest of Spring
ATHENS - UGA Football coach Kirby Smart said Tuesday that potential starting offensive lineman Daniel Calhoun will miss the remainder of Georgia’s spring practices.
Calhoun, a high-level prospect from Walton, has been competing for a starting role on the Bulldogs’ offensive line. That group is trying to have a better 2025 than a season ago when UGA’s offensive line struggled to produce a run game that mattered - particularly in big moments.
“I wanted to talk about Daniel Calhoun,” Kirby told reporters Tuesday night. “He's going to miss the rest of spring. He's got a foot injury that he's dealing with. He was doing a great job competing for one of the starting guard spots. It's not a major injury. It's just one that's going to cost him the next three weeks to do that.”
