ATHENS - The offseason is here, but there’s no rest for Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs. They always have an eye on the recruiting trail and this week they extended offers to two top in-state prospects.
One new offer went out to Howard (GA) athlete, Ta’Shawn Poole. A multi-sport star in the 2027 class, Poole is one of the fastest-rising prospects in Macon who can make big plays in all three phases of the game. He’s an instinctive safety who can return kicks on special teams and make plays down the field as a wide receiver on offense. He’s a rangy defender in the secondary with a big 6-foot-2 185-pound frame. He closes well on receivers and shows strong, reliable hands when making a play on the ball. He flashes easy big-play ability, and while he didn’t play against the best competition, his SEC-level talent was on full display week after week last season as a sophomore.
His recruitment is on the rise and he’s added two recent SEC offers from Georgia and Tennessee. Look for him to quickly rise in the 2027 rankings over time after his strong 2024 season.
“I was very excited about the Georgia offer”, Poole told Dawg Post. “I was shaking because Georgia is my dream school and for me to have a conversation with a Georgia coach made me feel good. Especially knowing that I’m a sophomore & that there is plenty more to come. I know about the history of football there and how their defense plays.”

Another 2027 prospect who earned a Bulldog offer was Sandy Creek (GA) standout, Corey Hadley Jr. Already known as one of the state’s top athletes in his class, Hadley Jr. has been on the recruiting scene for a while now and has finally earned an offer from the might in-state Georgia Bulldogs.
The two-way playmaker is one of the state’s top defensive back and proved it last fall as he blanketed opposing receivers all season long. On offense, the 6-foot-1 180-pounder only caught 13 passes but took them 257 yards and scored 8 touchdowns, finding the end-zone on more than half of his receptions. Defensively, the lean, athletic defensive back made 48 tackles, five TFLs, and consistently locked down his side of the field in coverage.
