Athens - Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs appear to be set at the quarterback position for the next two years with Gunner Stockton and Ryan Puglisi, but after that, it’s really up for debate.

The Dawgs have incoming freshman Ryan Montgomery‍ and Hezekiah Millender‍ on the roster, and they’re hoping to land one of the nation’s best in the 2026 class.

It may seem a little too far down the road, but the Bulldogs still have an eye on the 2027 class as well. If you want to sign the best, you have to build relationships early, and that’s what they’re doing with quarterback. Peyton Houston‍.

One of the top quarterbacks in the 2027 class, Houston is a 6-foot-0 200-pounder out of Evangel Christian (LA) who is coming off an incredible sophomore season where he threw for 4,480 yards and 38 touchdowns while rushing for 690 yards and seven more scores.

DON’T FORGET YOUR FANDUEL BETS!!

According to FanDuel, Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley has -190 odds to score an anytime touchdown in this weekend’s Super Bowl.

The mobile gunslinger showed impressive poise, playmaking ability, and accuracy, completing 70% of his passes last season. He was dominant last season and made sure to get over to Athens for a Jr. Day visit last fall.

“The message I consistently heard from the coaches at Georgia was all about the standard and competition”, Houston told Dawg Post. “The whole coaching staff is on board with the same goal which is to get players to the next level and develop them. They achieve this through daily competition, both on and off the field, and by holding their players to a high standard.”

He may be young, but Houston appears to be the total package. He can run, he shows outstanding arm talent, leadership qualities, and understands the position from a mental standpoint. He’s on Georgia’s radar in the 2027 class and the interest appears mutual.

It’s never easy to go into the Bayou and sign a top prospect away from the LSU Tigers, but Houston is still someone that Georgia fans need to keep an eye on over the next two years.
