BREAKING: UGA Football Adds "Someone Georgia Fans Should be Excited About."

ATHENS - UGA Football and Kirby Smart added an important piece to the Dawgs’ class of 2026 puzzle on Thursday. 

IMG DB Zechariah Fort‍ picked the Bulldogs over Alabama, Notre Dame and Ohio State. He is considered the consensus No. 11 safety in the county and the No. 102 overall prospect in the class of 2026. 

“I was excited when I originally got the Georgia offer,” he told Dawg Post. “It’s a blessing to earn an offer from them. They are a great program that sends players to the NFL year after year. Also love their academic and what the program stands for.”

Fort is the fourth prospect to commit to the Bulldogs in this cycle. Georgia has signed a consensus top-three in the last four cycles of recruiting - making Kirby Smart’s program the only program in the nation to do so. 

Dawg Post recruiting analyst Matt DeBary says the Bulldogs got a very good prospect in Fort. 

“Fort is a team captain at IMG Academy who has held his Georgia offer for over two years,” DeBary said. “He’s instinctive in coverage and tracks the ball well in the air. He has above-average ball skills. Fort shows strong leadership qualities and knows how to wrap up and make a strong tackle. He’s a strong competitor. He’s someone Georgia fans should be excited about.”
