ATHENS - Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs have their 2025 quarterback in Gunner Stockton and a promising backup waiting in the wings in Ryan Puglisi.
After that you’ve got freshmen Ryan Montgomery and Hezekiah Millender coming in hoping to provide some depth.
Now, the Bulldogs are looking to the 2026 class and beyond. Five-star gunslinger Jared Curtis is the big prize in this current cycle, but the Dawgs always have an eye on the future.
This week Mike Bobo and the offensive staff extended an offer to promising 2027 dual-threat quarterback, Jayce Johnson. The mobile 6-foot-4 205-pounder out of Lowndes (GA) is coming off a strong sophomore season where he showed natural arm talent, mobility in the pocket, and the ability to throw the ball accurately down the field. His numbers weren’t jaw dropping, throwing for 1,800 yards and 16 touchdowns while rushing for over 300 more and three more scores. However, when you watch him play, the talent, size, and potential stand out immediately.
His stock is on the rise and he’s added other offers recently from Florida State, Auburn, Arkansas, among others. If he continues to develop and improve his accuracy as a passer, Johnson has a chance to put up giant numbers as a junior next fall for a Lowndes team back on the rise.

According to FanDuel, the Georgia Bulldogs have +650 odds to win the 2026 national championship next year.
Another in-state prospect who recently earned a Georgia offer is Houston County (GA) receiver Kavon Conciauro. The long, athletic 6-foot-3 195-pounder is a strong route-runner for his size who can bait defensive backs and sneak past them down the field. He shows big, strong hands and the ability to play the ball high in the air. He uses his length to his advantage and shows impressive ball skills down the sideline .He can be a weapon in the red-zone and has a frame that allows him to continue adding more weight and muscle over the next 12 months.
He only played in seven games last fall but did score four touchdowns and bring big-play ability when the ball came his way.
“Being a kid who’s born and raised in Georgia it was a childhood dream come true!! And I know they the UGA program is one of the most consistent and stable programs in the entire country that produce some of the best talent every year!”
