Offense: A-

Wow, this run game looks like another kind of animal. Georgia has had success running the ball this year but today was just something else. D’Andre Swift torched the Cats for 156 yards and two touchdowns, one of them being an 84-yard burner. Elijah Holyfield also broke the 100-yard mark with 115 yards and a touchdown. The passing game wasn’t anything stellar, but it didn’t need to be. It was mostly simple passes as Jake Fromm completed 14-of-20 for 113 yards and one touchdown to Isaac Nauta. Still, two dumb turnovers hurt Georgia while in Kentucky’s territory. If it wasn’t for that, Georgia offense would be an A for sure.

Defense: B

Some really nice plays were made by the defense. They were able to total four sacks on Terry Wilson and held Benny Snell to 73 yards on his 20 carries. The defensive line looked vastly improved to what it had over the past few weeks. But there was still some work to be had. Richard LeCounte needs to be tackling better. There is just no excuse for some of the tackles he misses. Wilson was able to still get 226 yards through the air, more than a secondary as talented as UGA’s should against a quarterback like him.

Special Teams: A

There were only a few occasions where Georgia called upon its special teams’ units. Jake Camarda was only asked to punt once and booted it for 55 yards. Rodrigo Blankenship drilled both of his field goals and all of his extra points. Only one of Blankenship’s kicks were returned and it almost turned into a huge gain if it weren’t for the shoestring-tackle by Jayson Stanley.

Coaching: A

Kirby and Co. came in with a very direct plan and stuck with it the entire day - Stop the run on defense and get the run going on offense. Swift and Holyfield were on from the start and they just let them carry the offense. They knew what would make them successful against Kentucky and stuck with it the whole way through.
