UGA Football to Take on Tennessee Vols in Primetime on ABC

ATHENS - UGA Football will have another primetime showdown - this time on ABC against the Tennessee Vols. 

Georgia and Tennessee will kickoff at 7:30 in Sanford Stadium, the SEC and Disney announced Monday afternoon. The announcement was expected. The Bulldogs travel to Ole Miss this weekend for the program’s final road test of the season. Georgia has played an SEC-low three home games this season so far. 

The UGA-Tennessee has surged in popularity of late thanks to the Vols’ play under coach Josh Heupel. The last time the Dawgs and Vols played in Sanford Stadium it was one of the rare No. 1 vs. No. 1 matchups all time in college football. The Bulldogs beat the Vols 27-13 on the way to the 2022 national title. 

Tennessee is 7-1 overall and 4-1 in the SEC. The Vols host Mississippi State this weekend.
