ATHENS - As expected, several former UGA football stars had monster games on Sunday in the NFL.
Let’s start with Matthew Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams. The former Bulldog gunslinger and Sugar Bowl, who defeated the Florida Gators in 2007, threw a game-winning touchdown pass to Georgia native Demarcus Robinson in overtime to defeat the Seattle Seahawks. Stafford ended the game going 25/44 for 298 yards and two touchdowns with one INT. He’s now lead the Rams to an even 4-4 record this fall.

According to FanDuel, the Georgia Bulldogs are 2.5-point favorites against the Ole Miss Rebels in Oxford this weekend.
Then there's Nakobe Dean. The 2021 Butkus Award winner and 2021 national champion has become a leader on the Eagles defense and is having a very strong 2024 season so far. Today, Dean picked off Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence in the endzone to secure a tight 28-23 victory. The former Bulldog and All-American made two tackles, deflected two passes, and made the game-sealing INT, the first of his career, in the win over Jacksonville. Dean now has 37 tackles on the season with two sacks and one massive interception.
In that same game, former Bulldog and No. 1 overall pick Travon Walker scored his first career NFL touchdown on a fumble recovery that he took back to the house for a Jaguars touchdown. Walker is becoming one of the top defenders in the AFC and across the league this season. In their loss to the Eagles, Walker made seven tackles, two TFLs and that fumble recovery returned for a score. On the season Walker has made 6.5 sacks and one forced fumble.
