ATHENS - UGA Football’s 31-13 win over the Auburn Tigers was watched by nearly five million viewers on ABC.

The Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry was the second most-watched game of the weekend - behind only Arkansas’ upset of No. 4 Tennessee in Fayetteville. Vanderbilt’s shocking beating of Alabama was on the SEC Network, which is not a rated network, so viewership numbers are not available for that showing.

With 75.5 million viewers since 2012, UGA-Auburn is the tenth most-watched series in college football. It is the No. 8 most-watched series of games that are played yearly (Bama-UGA | Bama-Clemson).

The 2024 battle between the two rivals is the seventh most-watched game in the series since 2012 - narrowly lower than Kirby’s first win over Auburn in 2016. That game the No. 8 Tigers were upset in Athens in a defensive struggle.
