ATHENS - While Georgia and Alabama were off this past weekend, the rest of the SEC contenders suited up.

Kirby Smart and his UGA Football squad lost the No. 1 ranking to Texas after its close-call win over Kentucky in Lexington. With a few injuries and an unexpected narrow victory to address, Georgia’s off week was timed well as a trip to Tuscaloosa is on the schedule for this week.
