ATHENS - Even as they prepare to take on a tough Clemson football team this weekend, Kirby Smart and his staff are still looking to add new prospects to their 2025 recruiting board.

Two in-state prospects, Grayson defensive tackle and current Florida commitment Joseph Mbatchou, along with South Gwinnett linebacker Jaiden Braker, a current LSU commitment, both earned offers this week from the top-ranked Georgia Bulldogs.

Mbatchou is a raw, talented defender with a promising 6-foot-5 275-pound frame. His recruitment took off this month after committing to Florida on July 31st. Since then, this breakout prospect has earned offers from Georgia, Texas, Alabama, Auburn, South Carolina, and USC. He’s from Cameroon and is still new to the game of football. He’s a fantastic athlete for his size who also shines on the basketball court. He’s made a major impact for an elite Grayson defense this season and offers have been flying in over the last week.

The Dawgs have two interior defensive linemen on the commit list in three-stars JJ Hanne‍ and Stephon Shivers‍, and sources continue to tell Dawg Post that Tray Scot sits in an excellent position to land five-star in-state targets Elijah Griffin‍ (Savannah Christian Prep) and Justus Terry‍ (Manchester).

On the edge, assistant Chidera Uzo-Diribe has two of the nation’s best committed in five-star Isaiah Gibson‍ (Warner Robins, GA) and four-star Darren Ikinnagbon‍ (Hillside, NJ).

At inside linebacker, defensive coordinator Glenn Schumann holds a commitment from in-state five-star, Zayden Walker‍. The Schley County (GA) standout is ranked as the No. 25 overall prospect and the No. 1 linebacker in the country.

As good as he is, Schumann would still like to add another inside linebacker in this class. He’s extended an offer to in-state defender Anthony Kruah‍, an athletic playmaker for Marietta (GA) who is currently committed to North Carolina.

Now, Schumann has extended an offer to South Gwinnett (GA) linebacker Jaiden Braker‍, a one-time South Carolina commitment who flipped to LSU. His stock continued to rise all spring and summer after an impressive junior season where he flashed big-play ability when healthy. He did miss some time, but his talent was easy to see. He’s a quick-reacting, twitchy linebacker who knows how to wrap up and deliver a sound hit on the ball-carrier. He’s quick off the line and is off to a tremendous start to his senior season.

During a week one win over Shiloh, the 6-foot-3 220-pounder made nine tackles and deflected two passes. In a week two win over Dutchtown, Braker made six tackles, 3.5 TFLs, one forced fumble, and half a sack. With the Dawgs looking to add a second linebacker, Braker becomes a new name to know with this offer.
