UPDATE: A team source told Dawg Post Friday afternoon that Thomas had been suspended indefinitely.
ATHENS - UGA football WR Rara Thomas was arrested early Friday morning on three charges - one being second degree felony cruelty to children.
The other two charges were misdemeanor family violence. No bail was set for Thomas, who was still in Athens-Clarke County Jail as of 9:30 AM Friday morning after being arrested at 3:20 AM. “This is a pending legal matter. We will have no further comment at this point,” UGA Executive Associate Athletic Director for Strategic Communications Steven Drummond said in a statment issued to Dawg Post Friday morning.
