ATHENS - UGA Football OL Sedrick Van Pran-Granger was picked No. 141 overall to the Buffalo Bills in the 2024 NFL Draft in Detroit.

Van Pran-Granger spent the last three seasons as Georgia’s starting center, amassing 44 consecutive starts at that spot, with two of them being College Football Playoff National Championships. The 6’4” and 310 lbs. center earned All- America honors in 2023 and All-SEC honors in 2022.

That doesn’t happen in college football very often, but that is not the only thing that is uncommon about Van Pran-Granger.

His leadership was viewed just as important as his steady play on the field. In back-to-back offseasons, he was selected to represent Georgia at the annual SEC Football Media Kickoff.

“Yeah, that’s hard to do. 44th start is incredible in this league, the amount of physicality on the offensive line and defensive lines in our league is brutal, and he’s stayed healthy. He’s competed. Probably one of the best leaders I’ve ever been around,” Smart said at the end of the 2023 season.

Van Pran-Granger was the staple of Georgia’s offensive line in his four years in Athens, helping lead the unit to two consecutive Joe Moore Award finalists in 2022 and 2023. After Georgia’s very sound offensive line from 2021 that featured multiple future NFL starters, Van Pran-Granger used one word to describe how he felt about that: slighted.

That is what an NFL team is getting in Van Pran-Granger. He has been cross trained and has the ability to play left or right guard in the future as well, so he might not be tied to the center position.
