ATHENS - The Georgia Bulldogs have had plenty of success against the Ohio State Buckeyes recently.

Mike White’s Dawgs handled Ohio State on the hardwood this week, and of course, Kirby Smart’s team beat Ryan Day’s squad in the 2022 Peach Bowl Semi-Final.

Now, Smart and the Dawgs will be hosting a former Buckeye commitment on campus this Friday in four-star wide receiver, Jayvan Boggs‍.

One of Florida’s best in the 2025 class, this Cocoa (FL) pass-catcher will be taking his first visit to Athens and briefed Dawg Post on what he's looking forward to most about the visit.

“I'm looking forward to building relationships with the coaches and seeing the campus and facilities for the first time.”

Ranked as the No. 26 wide receiver and the No. 32 overall prospect in Florida, Boggs is a crafty route-runner with impressive burst, dependable hands, and big-play ability. He can stretch the field vertically while proving to be a weapon in the screen game. He’s not the biggest or fastest at 6-foot-0 200-pounds, but he does bring a muscular frame that allows him to be physical and pick up yards after contact down the field.

As a junior last fall, Boggs caught 93 passes for 1,504 yards and 24 touchdowns, winning a 2S state championship along the way.

Another wide receiver visiting this weekend is Buford (GA) standout, Jordan Allen‍. One of the fastest and most explosive receivers across the South for the 2025 class, Allen was a big-play machine and a much-needed offensive weapon for Dylan Raiola and the Buford Wolves last year. Unfortunately, Allen missed three games last year. In ten games, the speedy receiver caught 35 passes for 588 yards and four touchdowns. He held a Georgia offer under Bryan McClendon, but it’s unclear where he sits on new receivers coach James Coley’s board. He’s not a very big receiver at just 5-foot-7 170-pounds, but he brings plenty of speed. He’s currently ranked as a three-star prospect and the No. 87 wide receiver prospect in the 2025 class.
