ATHENS - UGA Football held its Pro Day on Wednesday about a month and a half prior to the 2024 NFL Draft.
During the first week of spring practice for Kirby Smart’s, Wednesday morning was all about players who are now former Bulldogs.
Probable first round picks Brock Bowers and Amarius Mims each elected to skip Wednesday’s workout in favor of a private one with teams at a later date due to hamstring injuries. Ladd McConkey highlighted the day for the Dawgs, showing off his twitch and speed once again.

On his hype around the NFL combine…
“I guess we will see when draft day comes. Everybody is always like ‘Where do you want to go? Where do you want to go?’ I’m like, ‘I have no Idea. Whoever picks me.’ So, it’s out of my control. It is up to them now. So, keep doing what I can and hopefully it will all pay off.”
On reflecting on his journey…
“I feel like it is always going going going so it is hard to sit back and think about it, um but I guess like at the combine it really set in that this is pretty cool. I’m not there yet but I know it is another step along the journey.”
On his conversations with NFL teams…
“All of them have been good really. First thing that they want to know is if you know football, if you're smart, you’re intelligent. Then they just want to get to know you really. That’s the main thing. See what you’re about, see what type of person you are, see what type of teammate you are, if you’re a leader. Really, just like who you are as a person. They’ve all been good.”
On what an NFL team will get if they draft him
“Shoot. Someone who is gonna give it all they got.”
