ATHENS - With the dead period ending on Monday, Kirby Smart and the UGA football team have extended a few more offers this week before a very important recruiting weekend in Athens.
Here are some North Georgia prospects, and others, who have earned a recent offer from the Dawgs...
2026 QB Brodie McWhorter – Cass (GA)
An up and coming quarterback in North Georgia, McWhorter is a 6-foot-2 195-pounder who knows how to drive the ball accurately down the field. He’s coming off a big sophomore season for the Colonelss where he showed great pocket presence with natural arm talent. His recruitment is on the rise and he earned an offer from the Bulldogs on Wednesday. He’s a gifted passer with a high ceiling, poised for a fantastic junior season in 2024. He’s a new name in the 2026 class to keep a close eye on.

According to FanDuel, the San Francisco 49ers have -126 odds to win Super Bowl.
2027 ATH Cole Crawford – Cartersville (GA)
A promising two-way player who can catch passes at tight end and make big tackles on defense, Crawford is a really good athlete with excellent size already at 6-foot-3 210-pounds. A multi-year sport star and one of the top baseball prospects across the South, this freshman is a major weapon in the passing game who can catch the ball and take off for big yards down the field.
He’s a physical run blocker, but his reliable hands make him a promising target in the Cartersville offense. He’s a modern tight end with big play ability, and on defense, he knows how to strike the ball-carrier. He’s tough, instinctive, and now offers are starting to roll in. He’s earned recent offers from Georgia, Georgia Tech, Tennessee, Auburn, and Minnesota.
2025 WR Daylyn Upshaw - Central (AL)
An explosive wideout with impressive ball skills down the field, Upshaw is a strong route-runner with natural hands 5-foot-11 175-pounds. The Central High playmaker is coming off a dynamic junior season where he caught 59 passes for 1185 yards (20.1 yards a catch) along with 15 touchdowns. He’s a prospect on the rise, and with a Georgia offer on the list, look for more offers to come his way down the road. He’s a new receiver to know about in the 2025 class.
Other prospects who earned a recent Georgia offer include:
2025 WR Brandon Finney - McDonogh (MD)
2027 ATH Taven Epps - Tustin (CA)
2025 OL Jack Lange - Eureka (MO)
2027 TE/DE Griff Galloway - Providence Day (NC)
