Georgia Bulldogs get Big Commitment in DB Lewis Cine
The Bulldogs added to the commit list on Wednesday afternoon with the addition of four-star safety Lewis Cine.
The playmaking safety has good size at 6-foot-2 180-pounds and is ranked as the 3rd-overall safety prospect in the county to go along with his ranking as the 59th-overall player in the country.
Georgia Bulldogs Class of 2019
So what does it mean for Georgia?
It means Kirby Smart is continuing to get the guys he wants. Smart made it clear in April during G-day that Cine was a major target for the Bulldogs. Smart was seen by Dawg Post coming up to Cine and his mother during warmups and giving both a big hug. It was easy to notice how bad he was wanted by the staff back in the spring.
Cine made it back to Athens in late July for the "Reveal Weekend", an event that saw many of Georgia's top targets in attendance.
The Bulldogs appeared to take the lead in his recruitment at that moment and were able to land his commitment.
So what will Cine bring to Athens?

Size and physicality. Cine has everything Kirby Smart is looking for in a safety. He's got some length to him which helps against the pass, but Cine is a physical player to really knows how to lay the lumber. He tends to tackle a little high at times, but it's clear that he knows how to strike his opponent.
He does a nice job of flying downhill and recognizing the play before it can get going. He gets into the backfield in a hurry and rarely misses a one-on-one tackle.
He shows good ball skills on tape as well and has all the tools necesary to become a major player in Georgia's scheme.
What stands out the most about Cine is his maturity. He wasn't going to fall for the nice weight rooms and facilities presented to him on visits. These were "business trips" for Cine and he had lotz of questions for each staff that hosted him. He has leadership ability and people, including other recruits, gravitate to him.
So where does Georgia go from here?
With Cine on board, the Bulldogs need to land two cornerbacks and possibly another safety target. Tyrique Stevenson is another major target and one of the best cornerback prospects in the country. He's arguably Georgia's top overall target not named Jadon Haselwood. He's an important piece to the 2019 puzzle.
Kaiir Elam is another four-star cornerback out of Florida that the Bulldogs are hard after. The Bulldogs are in a fight with the Gators for one of the county's best defensive backs.
At safety, Jammie Robinson is a name to know, but South Carolina and Tennessee are the teams trending the most right now with Auburn in the mix as well.
D.J Daniel is another committed prospect who could be a Bulldog in December. He was a take at one point this summer but is he a take in December? Only time will tell.
Either way, the Bulldogs just hit a home run with the commitment of Lewis Cine. One of the best safety prospects in the country, and one of the best overall players in Texas, is headed to Georgia.
