MIAMI - Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs will have one of their best players suited up for the Orange Bowl this weekend.
Sorry, Florida State fans. I know this comes as a giant surprise.
Two-time national champion Javon Bullard told Marc Weiszer of the Athens Banner Herald on Tuesday that he plans to play in this weekend’s Orange Bowl.
Like several Florida State players, Bullard could’ve sat the game out and declared for the 2024 NFL Draft. But Javon Bullard cares too much for his teammates and the University of Georgia. He has an opportunity to play for the Bulldogs at least one more time, and he’s not missing that opportunity.
There’s football to be played, and like a true football guy, Javon Bullard is strapping it up. He’s a competitor, and he’s not quitting on his team.
It’s unclear whether Bullard will return for the 2024 season, but what we do know is that he’ll be playing at least one more game for the University of Georgia.
