ATHENS - UGA football remained fairly healthy during its 38-10 win in Knoxville over Tennessee.
A couple of players got banged up against the Vols, and Kirby Smart addressed some of them after the game.
The surprise was with star wide receiver Ladd McConkey, who did not play much in Neyland Stadium on Saturday. The positive news in regard to his injury is that it did not have to do with the back issues he was dealing with earlier in the year.
This week, Georgia turns to its rivalry with Georgia Tech to round out the regular season. Smart addressed the media again on Monday, and offered some comments on the injured Georgia Bulldogs.

Ladd McConkey
McConkey was limited with an ankle injury that he suffered against Ole Miss. This is what Smart said after the game on Saturday:
“Ladd (McConkey) got an ankle last week, and he didn’t practice last week and we thought he’d be able to go but was not able to go,” Smart said.
He essentially echoed that on Monday, but he did say that they feel good about him returning, and the next couple of days will help determine when that will be.
Smart also shutdown the rumors that McConkey would need the tightrope surgery that Brock Bowers and Amarius Mims underwent earlier this season.
Warren Brinson
Brinson got banged up against Ole Miss in the previous week. He did not make the trip to Knoxville.
“Warren had the calf strain,” Smart said. “Hopefully, he’s able to go today.”
Tate Ratledge
Tate Ratledge went down in the first quarter against Tennessee with a knee injury.
This is what Smart said after the game:
“Tate (Ratledge) banged knees, so we felt he might be able to get back in there,” Smart said. “He tried to go, but couldn’t, there’s no X-ray, no damage, so he tells me he’s going to be able to play this week. We’ll see.”
On Monday, there was not much of an update.
“Tate’s (Ratledge) good. Tate has a bone bruise. He banged knees like we thought,” Smart said. “It will just be a timetable for how long it takes to turn it around.”
It can’t get more vague than that. He also mentioned that Ratledge is sore.
Jamon Dumas-Johnson and Julian Humphrey
“Both of those guys are fighting to get back. They’re week-to-week,” Smart said.
There is still no word on what exactly Julian Humphrey’s injury is.
Rara Thomas
After the game on Saturday, Smart said that Thomas was not dealing with an ankle sprain and that they were not exactly sure at the time what his injury is. The speculation was that he had a foot sprain.
That was said again by Smart on Monday.
“Rara has a foot sprain. We don’t know the severity of it,” he said.
