ATHENS - UGA lost one of the top players in its class of 2019 Tuesday night.

5-star Cedar Grove WR Jadon Haselwood, who had been committed to the Bulldogs since March of 2017, backed away from the Bulldogs. He is set to officially visit Miami this weekend.

“This is a very tough decision for me,” Haselwood tweeted. “I feel like this is the best decision for me. I have decided to decommit from the University of Georgia, and open my recruitment.”

The move comes only days after he visited Athens for No. 2 Georgia’s 38-12 win over Tennessee. Haselwood has made no secret of taking visits around college football. This summer he visited both Auburn and Miami. The Tigers and Canes are viewed as Georgia’s most significant threats right now.

Haselwood was expected to visit Georgia for the Auburn game in November. He is also still expected to enroll early, so he cannot wait until February to make his final decision - that will come in December.
