ATHENS - Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs strike again on the recruiting trail.
This time, it’s junior running back Bo Walker who has “Committed to the G”.
One of the top running backs in the peach-state, Walker is a tough, physical back with deceptive speed at 5-foot-10 185-pounds out of Cedar Grove (GA).
After earning an offer from the Bulldogs in late September, and taking in two Georgia games so far this fall, Walker knew he wanted to be a Bulldog, and committed to Georgia today over Nebraska, Central Florida, among others.
What are the Bulldogs getting in Walker?
A big, tough runner who gets yards after the catch.
Walker shows breakaway speed, but his ability to break tackles, stay on his feet, and pick up yards after initial contact is why he’s one of the best backs in Georgia. The Atlanta native has a compact frame with plenty of muscle. He shows quick feet, can change directions well, and works the sideline as well as any back in the area.
Walker shows impressive burst, explosiveness for his size, and does a good job of not going down by just one defender. He runs hard, but he runs with balance. He consistently flashed, and that’s he earned an offer from Dell McGee and the Bulldogs this fall.
He runs with good pad level, shows impressive lower-body strength, and still has the ability to make defenders miss down the field. In addition to his tough running style, Walker shows soft, dependable hands out of the backfield.
As a junior, Walker has proven to be a really tough guy to tackle. He’s hard to tackle up high, and he does a good job of not getting tripped up around his feet.
He doesn’t have five starts next to his name, and while he’s not the biggest or fastest back in the state, when you turn on the film, it’s easy to see the potential he brings. He’s a solid back and one the staff felt comfortable with in the 2025 class.
Dell McGee now has two running backs committed in next year’s 2025 class with Bo Walker and Jabree Wallace-Coleman on board.
Walker is ranked as the No. 40 RB prospect, the No. 50 prospect in Georgia, and the No 453 overall prospect in the 2025 class.
