ATHENS - Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs have landed a commitment from one of the very best prospects in the country.
That would 5-star LB Zayden Walker.
We’ve reported since the beginning of his recruitment that Georgia would be tough to beat, and today the Schley County (GA) star has ended his recruitment, committing to Kirby Smart, Glenn Schumann, and the rest of the Georgia staff.
Walker was in Athens in late May for the annual “scavenger hunt” weekend, and was in town again last week for his official visit.
Now, this longtime Bulldog lean is publicly on the commit list.

What is Georgia getting in Walker?
Toughness, versatility, and outstanding instincts.
At 6-foot-2 225-pounds, Walker is a big-time athlete who can do a little bit of everything. He plays running back and linebacker for his small-town Schley County team, but he’s a middle linebacker all the way at Georgia.
He brings a muscular frame and outstanding instincts, sniffing out the run with ease. He can run as well as any linebacker in the state for his size and knows how to deliver a massive hit on the ball-carrier. He reacts quickly, wraps up consistently, and always finds a way to make a big play in the backfield.
He’s a ball-hawk who sheds blocks and can attack the quarterback in the passing game while having enough speed to run down the ball-carrier to the perimeter. He’s a game-changer defensively who plays the position the right way. He’s fast, physical, hits behind his pads, and can make plays in coverage as well.
He’s a 5-star for a reason and someone the Georgia staff pushed hard for from the very beginning. Don’t be surprised if Walker becomes a multi-year starter down the road for the mighty Bulldog defense.
Where does Georgia go from here?
Walker gives defensive coordinator Glenn Schumann two outstanding middle linebacker commitments in the 2025 class, joining four-star Jadon Perlotte on the commit list.
Other linebacker targets to keep an eye on include Tavion Wallace, Nathaniel Owusu-Boateng, Luke Metz, among others.
As a junior last fall, Walker made 40 tackles, 17 TFLs, 7 sacks, two forced fumbles and two recoveries last year. He’s ranked as the No. 1 LB prospect and the No. 24 overall prospect in the country for the 2025 class.
