ATHENS - UGA football’s superstar tight end Brock Bowers was named to the Maxwell Award watch list.

The Maxwell Award is given out to college football’s most outstanding player, and Bowers has earned himself a spot on the watch list along with more than 80 other players.

This comes months after he stood next to Kirby Smart in Sanford Stadium at the Georgia Bulldogs‘ spring scrimmage game to accept the John Mackey Award as college football's best tight end, an award that many felt he also deserved the year prior.
