Michel was a star in Silver Britches - playing four seasons at UGA. He made a slew of plays for the Dawgs, but two moments in Michel’s career stand out - his decision to return for his senior season at UGA, and his game-winning touchdown against No. 2 Oklahoma in the 2018 Rose Bowl Game.

That touchdown, his third of the game, came on a 27-yard job into the end zone. Michel ripped the Sooners - gathering 222 yards and four touchdowns on 15 total touches that night. The two-overtime win over Oklahoma put Georgia in a national championship game for the first time since the conclusion of the 1982 season.

That season kick started the best run in UGA history - playing in three national title games in six seasons, winning two SEC titles and two national titles combined.

"I'm excited about the future of the Georgia Bulldog program,” UGA coach Kirby Smart said after Michel, Nick Chubb, Davin Bellamy and Lorenzo Carter all announced their return to the program for the 2017 season. “This means a lot to me and for our program that they all made this decision.”

Michel concluded his UGA career with 3,638 rushing yards and 33 touchdowns. He was also responsible for 621 yards receiving and another six touchdowns catching the ball.
