Bowers spent Tuesday at SEC Media Days in Nashville where he was asked about NIL.
“It has been nice,” he said of his opportunities off the field promoting products. “I try to do as little as I can. I try to maximize my opportunities because I don’t like spending all of my weekends doing that stuff.”
The Rock had his part in picking the athlete for the brand, according to the company.
“Each athlete was carefully chosen by Johnson for their optimism, enthusiasm, and commitment to striving for something bigger,” the company said.
“If you can get him to talk, that will be a great challenge for you,” UGA football coach Kirby Smart told reporters Tuesday.
"He's one of the premier players in college football," Alabama coach Nick Saban said before Georgia’s 33-18 win in the College Football Championship Game. "I know everyone knows all of the passes he catches, but he's a good blocker. “He does a good job of executing whatever he needs to do for his teammates to have success.”
