UGA Football Legend Stetson Bennett Signs Rookie Deal With LA Rams

ATHENS - Former Georgia Bulldog quarterback Stetson Bennett has official signed his rookie contract with the Los Angeles Rams.

Bennett inked a 4-year deal with the Rams for $4,539,132 with all the details over on overthecap.com.

A two-time national championship winning quarterback, Stetson Bennett was selected in the 4th round of the 2023 NFL Draft with pick No.128.

The Blackshear, Georgia native played high school at Peirce County before walking on at Georgia. fF course, everyone knows that story. It’s one of the greatest in college football history. Bennett transferred to Jones College for the 2018 season before coming back to Georgia on scholarship.

Bennett saved Georgia in the season-opener 2020 against Arkansas after the “Dwan Mathis experiment”, and played a significant amount of the season before JT Daniels took over for the final few games.

Bennett won the job again in 2021 and led the Bulldogs to their first national championship since 1980. He then came back for a final season in 2022 where he threw for a single-season school record 4,127 yards along with 27 passing touchdowns and another 10 rushing touchdowns. More importantly, he led the Bulldogs to a second-consecutive national championship, leaving Athens as one of the more decorated quarterbacks in college football history.
