ATHENS - UGA football offensive line coach Stacy Searels gets his guy.
4-star OL Nyier Daniels has committed to Kirby Smart’s Georgia Bulldogs, and this is a BIG deal.
One of the top offensive tackle prospects across the country in the 2024 class, Daniels is a massive human at 6-foot-7, 370-pounds and a guy that has always been towards the very top of Searels’ board.
After taking an official visit to Athens the weekend of June 16th, sources say Georgia took a firm lead in Daniels’ recruitment, and today they landed his commitment. Daniels is the latest in slew of commitments Georgia has pulled into its No. 1 class.
The New Jersey native out of Bergen Catholic School is big, strong and has an incredibly high ceiling. You can’t teach size, and Daniels has plenty of it. If he can slim down some and continue to develop, Daniels has the potential to be a multi-year starter at UGA.

What is UGA football getting in Nyier Daniels?
Size, strength and versatility.
An outstanding run blocker from the inside, Daniels uses his raw power and force to easily overpower smaller defenders in the New Jersey region he plays in. He bullies defenders on a consistent basis and can completely eliminate them from the play.
Daniels played all over the offensive line last fall as a junior, opening up running lanes from wherever he’s lined up. He played primarily left tackle, but he also spent time at right tackle and left guard. He’s easy to run behind, and the Bergdn Catholic often did that often in 2022.
When you turn on the film, it’s easy to be impressed. Daniels swallows up defenders with ease. He’s a “first guy off the bus type” and will be one of the largest players on the roster the second he gets on campus.
Again, he might have to slim down some, but he does move pretty well for someone 370+ pounds. He can play in space and served up pancakes left and right in the run game. He’ll need to keep working hard on his pass-protection, and if he can show he’s capable of protecting the quarterback from either side, Daniels has a chance to see the field early in Athens. Daniels is someone Stacy Searels wanted badly, so Georgia fans need to keep a close eye on him the minute he gets to town.
Searles now has five offensive linemen committed in the 2024 class. In addition to Daniels, Searels also has three-stars Marcus Harrison and Malachi Toliver committed along with four-stars Daniel Calhoun and Michael Uini on the commit list.
Daniels is ranked as the No. 13 OT prospect, the No. 2 prospect in New Jersey, and the No. 160 overall prospect in the country.
